The LADY PIE Race Series

NOTICE OF RACE

1. Rules
1.1 The Series will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.
1.2 If there is a conflict between the Notice of Race and the Sailing Instructions, the Sailing Instructions will prevail.

2. Eligibility and Entry
2.1 Sailing dinghies and beach catamarans are welcome to enter.
2.2 Eligible boats must complete an entry form. All participants must pay an entry fee before racing.

3. Fees
3.1 Members of Phuket Yacht Club THB 100. Non-Members THB 200.

4. Schedule of Racing
4.1 Racing will be held on the following dates

1. June 12th 2011
2. July 3rd 2011
3. August 7th 2011

4.2 Depending on weather conditions, as many races will be held each day of racing as is suitable.
4.3 Skippers’ Briefing 0930 hours on each day of racing at Phuket Yacht Club, Ao Yon.

5. Sailing Instructions
5.1 Sailing Instructions will be made available to competitors at the Skippers’ briefing prior to racing.

6. Venue
6.1 The waters outside Ao Yon’ Phuket.

7. Courses
7.1 Courses to be sailed will be detailed in the Sailing Instructions.

8. Scoring
8.1 The Low Point Scoring System will apply.
8.2 Three races are required to be completed to constitute a series.
8.3 When up to 4 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores.
8.4 When 4 to 8 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score.
8.5 When 9 or more races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her two worst scores.

9. Prizes
9.1 For the Series, prizes will be awarded to the first three overall places in each class.
Additional prizes may be awarded at the discretion of the Organising Committee.

10. Disclaimer of Liability
10.1 Competitors participate in these races entirely at their own risk. See Rule 4, Decision to Race. The organising authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the races.
