Lady Pie Series Overall Winner Announced

The final event of the three day Lady Pie Series for the Tasar dinghies was held at the Phuket Yacht Club in Ao Yon Bay Sunday. Excellent conditions of 8-12 knots and flat seas made it possible to get in five races before lunch and the results showed just how close it was. With three first places it was Liam and Mick Kealy sailing Dragonfly that took the day but it was Slipstream with Andrew de Bruin and Leon Bowles that triumphed overall in the series. Harry Usher, sailing the sponsors boat Lady Pie, managed to win the last race of the series and give a fitting end to the program.

The Lady Pie Series was a huge success with most of the Phuket fleet getting at least two days on the water, and the Phuket Yacht Club are looking forward to the next series in January. Prior to that we will be running a “Last Chance Regatta” on 18th December to coincide with the family Christmas fun day.

1st Slipstream (14pts)
2nd Dragonfly (21pts)
3rd Lady Pie (24pts)
4th G String (26pts)
5th Seakitt Casschris (32pts)
